In this piece, I started with a tree design and digitized it for subsequent paper cutting. Adobe Illustrator, which is the software used to feed the laser cutter, is not forgiving when it comes to hand design work scanned to a jpg or pdf file but the folks at the Maker Space worked diligently with me and we persevered. The tree came out good enough where I was able to cut spaces that the cutter missed manually. I then painted the sunset background and field in watercolors. I hope to enter it into the Bergen County Senior Show in July. Let me know if you like it.
